Assistant Research Coordinator

Western Psychiatric Institute & Clinic of (UPMC) is currently recruiting for a part-time Assistant Research Coordinator. The incumbent will conduct in-person research interviews, provide administrative support, keep accurate data tracking, and provide data entry services to the Youth and Family Training Institute Evaluation Team for research participant enrollments in Crawford County.
This position is 100% grant funded.
Purpose:Assist with project coordination and administrative functions for the research project.Responsibilities:
Receive family contact information from the Central Evaluation Team and schedule appointments in an efficient manner and at a time/place that is convenient for youth and caregiver participants (in their home or a public location within Crawford County).
Conduct either computer-based or hard copy in-person interviews at baseline and every six months with adult caregivers and youth ages 11-24 with social, emotional, and behavioral issues.
Identify and report any emergency situations regarding self-harm or child abuse to the program coordinator and/or the proper authorities.
Protect participant privacy and maintain confidentiality at all times.
Prepare project-related correspondence including mailing copies of informed consent forms and appointment reminders to participants and mailing assessment packets to participants.
Independently prepare, enter online, and/or ship data to the Central Evaluation Team in Monroeville, PA.
Maintain tracking records of subject contact, subject interviews, interview reminders, and data processing/mailing.
Communicate effectively and work collaboratively with research and administrative staff to maintain efficient scheduling of research participants and data collection/processing.
Attend and participate in all project-related meetings, including staff meetings, trainings, supervision and reliability sessions, and conference calls.
Be available for travel for in-person training/support.


High School Diploma required, some college experience preferred.
Excellent organizational, attention to detail, and interpersonal skills required.
Excellent grammar, written and verbal communication skills preferred.
The ability to work with minimal supervision, and effectively prioritize and complete tasks in a timely manner.
