**The Role:** We are looking for a self-motivated individual to manage supply chain for large Global Water/ Wastewater product and services Company. Responsible for purchasing of all project/ parts related equipment and services. Drives cost position through direct negotiation, continuous improvement, or supply chain management. Perform all duties in accordance with the Xylem Inc. Code of Corporate Conduct and in accordance with all Xylem Inc. corporate policies.


**Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:**


+ Responsible for driving gross/ net savings opportunities with assistance from Global Procurement Team, assuring corporate targets are achieved.

+ Negotiates T&Cs for all purchase orders issued for equipment on all parts and project related business.

+ Tracks and inputs gross savings into GEP. Reports out to Global Procurement team monthly savings progress or shortfalls.

+ Visits suppliers as necessary to establish and maintain supplier relationships.

+ Assist in preparation of all purchase orders (direct and indirect).

+ Expedites and drives suppliers to assure customer requested deliveries are met and (on-time deliveries - OTDs) are achieved.

+ Overseas testing and delivery of filtration media.

+ Performs monthly review of commodity market to assure lowest cost product is being procured.

+ Researches and identifies new low cost supplier base opportunities.

+ Leverages Xylem supplier volume base to assure lowest cost product is being procured.

+ Supports R&D, Engineering, Project Management, & Sales in all purchasing related functions (i.e. quotations, negotiation, supplier identification & selection).

+ Works closely with Director of Quality in identification and remediation of all quality related claims.

+ Assists Master Scheduler in revenue forecasting and inventory management (i.e. safety stock & inventory control).

+ Works with Engineering and Operations team to identify and implement value add/ engineering projects.


**Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, Abilities, License/Certification:**


+ Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Supply Chain Management or equivalent and at least five (5) years of related experience.

+ Must have strong negotiation skills.

+ Familiarity with the interpretation of engineering plans and specifications is a plus.

+ Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Familiarity with ERP systems is a must.

+ Must be able to multi-task in a fast paced work environment and maintain a high degree of professionalism.

+ Effective communication and problem solving skills are essential.
